A rootsy collection of original songs borrowing from folk, blues and country, featuring Caleb Miles on all instruments and vocals.
Note that Brickyard Road is sold out on CD, but you can still buy it digitally.
A tasty blend of folk, blues, rock and country, with songs that tell poignant stories and instrumentation that perfectly complements and punctuates. Caleb Miles sings and plays every instrument, handling drums, bass, piano, organ, pedal steel, mandolin, banjo, and acoustic and electric guitars in an impressive range of styles.
Caleb Miles began his musical career at the age of 15 when he was asked to join legendary Albuquerque politico-rockers The Illegal Aliens. Throughout the 1980s he contributed incendiary lead guitar to many of New Mexico’s finest rock’n’roll bands, including F.O.R. and A Murder Of Crows. After relocating to Portland, Oregon in 1996 and performing with several bands (including Kentucky Snakehandlers and Lewi Longmire Band), Caleb rekindled his interest in home recording and, upon moving to Nova Scotia in 2005, produced BRICKYARD ROAD. Here you will find studio versions of Trouble, Honest Trade, and Sad Old Rock ‘n’ Roller, songs that have formed the backbone of his solo performances in recent years.
Brickyard Road is also available as a digital download.
