A rock safari that stands tall alongside its classic influences…
Strange Weather is the third cd recorded by Caleb Miles since his arrival in Nova Scotia in 2005. Featuring 12 new songs and playing all the instruments himself, Strange Weather delivers a stylistic sweep of influences from Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Grateful Dead to Delta Blues, folk anthologies and psychedelic jazz. Hard to categorize except perhaps with an “all of the above” box, Caleb’s music draws from deep wellsprings while retaining an warm, intimate, down-home vibe. Finely crafted lyrics, surprising and intricate arrangements, and plenty of meaty guitar work make Strange Weather sound like a long-lost classic from the early ’70s.
